Jamie Balfour BSc

Welcome to my personal website!

Technology enthusiast

I am very interested in technology, particularly relating to computer science. I am most interested in web design and development.

My main hobby is programming. One of my most well known products from this is ZPE. I also am the sole creator of BalfBlog, BalfBar and BalfSlider.

A little bit about me

In 1997, when I was six years of age, I got my very first computer. I was always very interested in the ins and outs of it and dismantled it to see how it worked.

Years later, in 2016 I received my BSc (with honours) in Computer Science, obtaining a First class degree.

I'd like to welcome you to my website and hope you enjoy using it as much as I have enjoyed building it!

Balfour's Business Class Library

BBCL is as the name suggests a business-class SDK (Software Development Kit) designed by my brother and I (particularly myself).

It is built for .NET languages and has taken some 3 years to assemble. It is crucially the underlying part of all of my software, such as image effects, file extensions, plugins, text functions, the Cobra RTB, the interface for all my software, the Record Checker database system, the browser in Cobweb (although the engine is just a wrapper over Trident), the revolutionary control set, the basis of BlackRabbit Script, the math functions, the text functions and so much more! It is an incredibly powerful kit with hundreds of powerful functionalities for C#.NET and VB.NET developers alike.

Whilst the release that will appear soon is not complete, it will contain about 90% of the functionality of the final version.

It took me a while to make a decision to make all of my software (apart from BeCommerce) free, but I've decided since I no longer consider software development my main interest anymore to make it more of a hobby and make it free for all.

You can see the class diagram found here.
