Welcome to my personal website!

Technology enthusiast

I am very interested in technology, particularly relating to computer science. I am most interested in web design and development.

My main hobby is programming. One of my most well known products from this is ZPE. I also am the sole creator of BalfBlog, BalfBar and BalfSlider.

A little bit about me

In 1997, when I was six years of age, I got my very first computer. I was always very interested in the ins and outs of it and dismantled it to see how it worked.

Years later, in 2016 I received my BSc (with honours) in Computer Science, obtaining a First class degree.

I'd like to welcome you to my website and hope you enjoy using it as much as I have enjoyed building it!

Painter Pro Ultra Edition

Currently, Painter Pro is not receiving updates and there is no available support for it. There are plans to get it up and running again at some point however.

Painter Pro is a new graphic manipulation application that lets you quickly render images with effects built for Windows. It's not just another graphics program however - it has many unique features and functions that make it really easy to get great images.

On top of that, you can autonomise your workload to help make it work to it's best and fast.

Circled effect

Much faster effects than any other version

Latest version
Oldest version

The current Painter Pro is as much as four times as fast compared with it in 2012. This means all of the effects such as grayscale and reflection, are now much faster to perform, thus reducing waiting time.

The I Want It There Version 3 tool is around 4 times faster than Version 2 and that was around 2 times faster than the Version 1 tool, making a total of 800% of an improvement since the first version. The improvements comes from memory management like never before!*

*Times measured using the language timer and a 1920 * 1200 sized photograph in BMP format.

Faster tools

Brushes have been improved with faster response times and better memory management.

Because of these new improvements, brushes have also been given more flexibility. This flexibility permits the program to perform more and more tasks such as grayscale on the fly. Prior to the 2013 version this was impossible.

The paste tool is one of the most noticable improvements to be in the latest update.

If your browser permits HTML5 videos, the video below shows the speed difference when pasting an image between the 2011 paste function and the 2014 paste function.

New brushes

The new grayscale brush has been improved to a level not seen before in Painter Pro. Now there is a functional grayscale brush that works twice as fast as before. Now you can make certain things look old.

As well as that, there is a new emboss brush which can emboss an image in certain areas. New improvements are noticable with all of the other brushes as well.

Plugins manager that makes it easy

The plugin manager that Painter Pro features makes it easier to install image effect plugins. These plugins can also be written just as easily.

The majority of plugins used in Painter Pro are also available for other software by myself such as Wonderword or BlackRabbit Script Editor, but Painter Pro also has some very specific ones that only work with it.

Inverted colouring

Command driven drawing makes it easy to replicate commands.

Storing the commands and then re-inserting them into the program as commands gives you the flexibility and speed of using already written commands.

Commands can then be saved to be run from BlackRabbit Script or directly into Painter Pro.

Being built on the Balfour's Business Class Library means that extention libraries can too be built on it. All functions, methods, controls and more can be accessed. File types built into the library can also be manipulated, giving Painter Pro a much larger scope to improve.
